Hello Satyam,
Congrats for clearing your JEE Mains and making it to JEE Advanced.
For older IITs such as IIT B, IIT Delhi, IIT KGP, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, you should have a rank below 3000. You can hope for new IITs if you get a rank below 5000.
This time JEE advanced was slightly tougher as compared to last year. So the cutoff might fall. The cutoff for OBC NCL is expected to be between 75 -85. So you securing 90 marks seems on the positive side. Once the ranking comes it will get more clear to you.

Hello
It would have been better if you had mentioned your category and home state and preference in the question.
The result of JEE advanced 2019 will be released on 14th June
For 2019 however the scenario appears to be such that the candidate should have secured a minimumof 12 (10%) marks in ech subject with a minimum aggregate of 90(35%) marks if belonging to the general category so you still have a chance to get admission in IIT( if you belong from general category).
a minimum of 11(9%) in each subject and minimum aggregate marks of 81(31.5%) if an OBC NCL candidate
minimum marks o6(5%) in each subject and a minimum aggregate if 45(17.5%) if the candidate belongs to SC categoryor ST category or PwD category.
I hope this was helpfull. I wish you all the best. For any further queries feel free to ask.
Hi Satyam,
With your 90 marks in JEE Advanced examination there is a chance that you will clear the cut-off and will be eligible to sit in the counselling for getting admission in IITs but I am sorry to say that getting admission will be very difficult for you as you know that 50,000 candidates are made eligible for counselling but there are only around 11,000 total seats in all IITs.
According to last year marks vs rank scenario with 90 marks, you can expect your rank around 5500 to 6000 in the OBC category which is again subjected to change either way up or down as it happens every year. If in case you don't get IIT then also you can sit in JoSAA counselling and get admission into different NITs, IIITs through your JEE Mains score. You can also use JEE Mains score to get admission in various private colleges and state government colleges.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries.
All the best!!
Hi Satyam ! There is a nice chance for you to get an IIT. For as per your marks your rank may stand between 3000-6000. So there is a fair chance for you to get an IIT. Obviously old or best IIT's are absolutely impossible. Their lower branches are also very difficult to grab through this rank. But you can have the top streams of new IIT's and lower branches of semi-old IIT's. So best of luck !
Feel free to access.
Hi candidate! There is no chance of getting a seat in IIT with this marks. It is quite low marks. As per the last year trends the cutoff marks for jee advanced obc category is 115. And this year also the cutoff will lie around 115. The cutoff are based on number of students appearing for the exam and the difficulty of paper. But you can wait for the results.
Better luck for your future.
Thanks.
