what should I do next after my ug in BBA any suggestions?
Hi there,
BBA is a 3 year professional course. So you have got two options after that:
- To get into a job
- To prepare for CAT to get into MBA.
Choosing either of these options depends on how you wish to live your life. Each option comes with its own set of pros and cons.
If you get into a job then the first benefit would be that you will gain financial independence. The experience you will gain will polish your personality and since you will now have money in your hand you can choose what you wish to do. If you wish to do MBA after this then your working experience will help you. Now coming to cons, the newly earned financial independence can blur your aims and goals (it only depends on your will power). If you choose to pursue MBA later then it could be cumbersome to manage studies and job at a time.
If you choose to appear for MBA, then if selected in some tier-1 or 2 college then the package you will be recieving after completion would be 10 times of what you'll get after BBA. The only con is that you may sometimes feel demotivated seeing your friends or aquaintence earning.
So before choosing any option, while considering the financial gains from them you have to also analyse yourself and your ability to calm your nerves when things won't favour you.
Hi Kuralarasan,
After completing BBA you can do further things like:-
1-If you're pursuing BBA, most probably you'll end up doing MBA further in your career and getting selected for a good MBA college demands an overall excellence in acaedamics and strong profile.
2-You can do certified course on Foreign Languages, if you are interested.
3-PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) is the alternative option to MBA. Nevertheless, there’s not much between MBA and PGDM.
4-After doing BBA, depending upon your aptitude, interest and skill set, you can work in the following areas:
- Entrepreneurship
- Finance & Accounting Management
- HR Management
- Marketing Management
- Supply Chain Management
- Tourism Management
One last thing to remember while jumping into the profession of management is that you must develop exceptional communication skills, problem-solving skills and quick decision making skills.
Hope this will help, please feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Thank you.
