Hello,
.
GRE Tests all the skills you got and you should get.
.
Text completion
Sentence equivalence
Reading comprehension
.
The only bit which make you feel that you are up is sentence equivalence.
Remaining them can be done if you are a English communicator.
.
Go through with this tips,
  1. Get through a lot of vocabulary
  2. Never think you are perfect
  3. Get through the articles
  4. While going through article know the each and every thing you go through it (like get information what article is related, why it has been written, what is the purpose)
  5. Make a list of words you don't recognize
  6. If you are ok go  with flashcards
  7. Go for memorization goals(means set a goal to get memorised words)
  8. Use synonyms of certain words while having a conversation.
  9. Last but not least.Have a proper sentence while you are practicing or getting a conversation with the words. In simple, know the words where and when to use.
.
And remember focus on what you are doing.
.
Hope this helps you out
Thank you

Dear Yash, Questions asked in Verbal section might be of 3 types like reading comprehension, text completion and sentence equivalence. Across each section, you either have to read a passage and answer the questions accordingly or read a passage, interpret the message and answer questions on those pages. So to start off, you wil have to develop reading as a habit and comprehending what you are reading. So you should be ideally good at reading between the lines because for you to interpret a sentence, you need to understand in depth. For example when they say "Taking from Peter to pay Paul" it means taking a loan to repay a loan. So, these are certain things that you need to learn. You should be able to read the sentence, understand its meaning, distinguish between minor and major points and draw conclusions. You need to be able to reason as to how you interpreted certain incomplete information in a way you have done. Understand the author's presumptions in a certain passage and draw an analysis from the same. You need to develop alternate explanations. Learn vocabulary and read as much as you can.
