Hey friend !
I'm myself doing computer science engineering so I think I am suitable person to give the answer . 80% of syllabus in both branches is same . You will have to learn and do coding or programming in both of them .CSE relies on computation as a base and IT as a discipline on the fulfilment of organisations' computation infrastructure needs. Therefore, IT emphasises more on implementation in a continuum from theory to implementation, with the goal of using computational expertise to solve problems. You can take any branch of your choice .
