What should i prefer IIEST Shibpur EE or VNIT Nagpur Chemical ? and why?
When you have to compare two colleges and have to arrive at a conclusion then you have to choose some of the parameters. This parameters can be a distinct number of events but to conclude this answer I am choosing some of the most important parameters like:
- Infrastructure
- Curriculum
- Faculties
- Placement
If you compared this factors then its undoubtedly concluded that the placement in IIEST is better than VNIT Nagpur. Apart from this the curriculum in IIEST is very well balanced between the practical and theories. Now apart from this the faculties in IIEST are more specialized and most of the faculties are active in research. The laboratory and libraries in IIEST is very good as well. So among this two IIEST shibpur will be a better choice to study chemical engineering or any course.

Dear Aspirant,
EE is the study of electrical things and it is a core branch whereas the Chemical Engineering is the study of chemicals which will be used in the many fields like defence, etc. After all it depends on you which subject excites you the most and it will be easier for you if you choose it.
IIEST Shibpur:-
Placements: Around 60-70% of the students get placed. From the previous Statistics companies like Tata Steel, Cesc, PwC, and a bunch of other companies visit here for placements. The average package is around 6-7 LPA. The highest package was around 37LPA from Microsoft.
Infrastructure: All the labs and the classrooms are well maintained. There is a very well maintained library although the hostels are a bit old. There are also gym facilities along with two playgrounds. The campus is wi-fi enabled with separate hostels for students belonging to different years.
Faculty: All the professors are Ph.D. holders and are very knowledgeable. They give their best they can. There is a very good research environment here. The courses curriculum design might be a bit old but changes are being made to make students industry-ready. The semester exams might be described as a bit difficult.
VNIT Nagpur:-
Placements: In VNIT Nagpur, many companies hire students for the IT sector such as Microsoft, Amazon, Udaan, etc. For better knowledge of basic and advanced robotics, they have different clubs such as IV laboratories for software engineers, and electrical engineers. About 70% of students got placed, and the highest salary package offered is 11.5 LPA in CSE. The lowest salary package offered varies from 6-7 LPA in CME, and the average salary package offered is 7-8 LPA in ECE and EEE. In civil, the salary package offered is 6.6 LPA. The highest salary package offered was in CSE of around 35- 40 LPA. Top role offered is of architecture.
Infrastructure: The boys' hostel is glamorous with spacious rooms, and it provides the best facilities. They clean rooms regularly, and hostel life is fun. There are no such restrictions in the boys' hostel after the first year, and for girls, the timings are restricted up to 10 PM. The campus is also known for its greenery surroundings. On the backside, there is a lake on which students can do photoshoots, and spend time with their friends. They also provide facilities for indoor and outdoor games like football, cricket, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, carrom, chess, etc. The ground is good and well maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, but some teachers are strict in their subjects which is a good point for students' better performance. All professors are highly qualified from IITs and NIT, and some other top universities with high teaching experience. For semester exams students must study properly, and pay attention from 1st day of the class itself. As we often hear that after going to IIT or NIT we didn't have to study maths, which is not true. If students want to be different from others and make their own identity on-campus then they have to study at least 3-4 hours a day. Exams are moderate in terms of difficulty level. They also conduct online exams which have 5-7 questions in 1 hour, and mostly they theory and numerical-based. It has a good grade system so that students can score well, at least 35-40 marks.
