After announcement of JEE Main ranks Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will start the registration process of JoSAA 2021 at josaa.nic.in.
While registering for JoSAA, you will be in need to select colleges and courses which you were willing to join (choice filling) ,when it's done you should wait for few days until the final allotment results come out.
Basically the software cross check your eligibility to get a seat in the college/course you provided as an option in there site,if you are eligible then you will be alloted a seat in that college/course.
Josaa Will not give list of colleges that you are eligible perhaps you should make choice filling in a priority fashion from top to bottom when it's done,it check your eligibility and seat vacancy in the college ,if your rank is eligible to get a seat then it finally provide you a allotment.if you aren't satisfied with college alloted in that round you can hold that seat with you and redo the Same in next round.
