Clinical microbiologists are trained professionals who work for research and development sector in medicine. Mostly, they study about bacterias and fungi and other microorganisms which often means studying about diseases and their prevention.
To become a medical microbiologist, you at least need to have a bachelor's degree in this discipline. Bsc in microbiology is a 3 year undergraduate, full time programme that is focussed of medical microbiology. Eligibility for the same is minimum 50-60 (depending on institutions) aggregate in class 12 in science stream. Internships in labs will definitely turn out to be beneficial as they provide hand on training in this field. You can opt for higher studies after this, i.e msc in microbiology. Msc in microbiology is a two year, postgraduate course offered to microbiology graduates. Or, you can still apply for jobs after bsc but it won't be that fruitful. Gaining mastery in this discipline will fetch you something big. Students who are interested in growing their careers more, opt for phD after masters.
