Hello Aspirant,

There are a total of four sections

  1. Section IA – 13 Languages
  2. Section IB – 19 Languages
  3. Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects
  4. Section III – General Test

The language section is distributed into 2 portions-

1A (language test subjects)

  • Anyone must be chosen
  • Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, English, Bengali, Punjabi, and Odia.

1B( elective language)

  1. There are 19 languages.
  2. Any additional language that is different from those proposed in Section I A may be selected.
  3. French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese.

Section II

There are 27 domain-specific subjects.

  1. 27 subjects are distributed into two portions as well.
  2. 6 subjects can be chosen.

B1

  • Accountancy/Book Keeping, Biology/ Biological Studies/ Biotechnology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science/ Informatics Practices, Economics/Business Economics, History, Home Science, Legal Studies, Environmental Studies, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, and Sanskrit.

You can choose Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Computer Sci. and Physical Education from the B2 section. (If you had this subject combination in 12th standard)

Better to choose the subjects you STUDIED in your class 12th.

B2

  • Engineering Graphics, Entrepreneurship, Knowledge Tradition Practises in India, Fine Arts/ Visual Arts/ Commercial Arts, Teaching Aptitude, Agriculture, Mass Media/Mass Communication, Physical Education/NCC/Yoga, and Performing Arts.

General Test

For undergraduate programs/ programs proposed by universities where a General Test is employed for entry.

Subjects

General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra geometry/mensuration taught till Grade 8), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.
