Hello student if you're sure that you've written enough to secure marks at least more than passing marks then you should go for rechecking but it's not preferable to go for rechecking on the hope of grace marks as Grace marks is totally dependent on the teacher and your previous academic record. You can appear in improvement examination to qualify the subject.

if you are sure about your answers that you could not not fail in the subject then i would suggest you to go for rechecking or scrutiny and if you are not so sure about your answers and marks then you should give compartment exam not improvement exam , improvement exams are for those students who have successfully passed 10+2 but still want to improve their marks then he or she can appear for the improvement exam
