Don't worry you can apply for duplicate certificate by mentioning all the reasons of losing your certificate in the application form which you will be needing to submit it in the board office or your school. In case of any proof you can show your admit card that you have appeared in the examination.

I went to my school for the same certificate and...i was asked to submit an FIR COPY(regarding loss of document)and also an Ad..in newspaper.. regarding same.
