What to do to become a doctor in defence force?
Hello Shraddha
To join the armed forces as a doctor, after 12th you can apply for AFMC (armed forces medical college)
AFMC MBBS admissions will be on the basis of candidate’s marks in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Candidates who will qualify NEET will be invited to appear in ToELR (Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning), a psychological assessment test cum interview.
Among the total MBBS seats in AFMC MBBS, 105 are reserved for boys and 25 seats are for girl candidates. Further, 10 seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories.
Candidates’ marks obtained in NEET will be added to the ToELR score and divided by 4 to get an actual score out of 200. Thus, the score obtained will be treated as a final score for AFMC MBBS 2017 admission along with interview of 50 marks. Also 60% in class 12th is mandatory.
2. After completing your MBBS from any recognised medical college there are entries for doctors in the forces which are notified on their respective websites.
