INORGANIC CHEMISTRY:
Both class 11 & 12 topics are important from the entrance point of view and have nearly equal weightage. The key is to read NCERT textbooks well and go through questions that have been asked in the past to get an idea of the kind of questions that have been asked previously.
O P Tandon for inorganic chemistry is a good book for objectives and should help you out.
Topics like Chemical bonding and molecular structure and coordination compounds are to be given more importance.
ORGANIC CHEMISTRY:
Topics of class 12 have a very considerable weightage and it is very important to know not just named reactions but also mechanism of reactions well because a lot of applications can be asked.
Again, NCERT will be your top priority, followed by a good book for MCQs. You can refer O P Tandon for the same.
Topics like Carbonyl compounds and general organic chemistry should be given more attention. Although no topic should be left untouched as every topic is more or less important.
PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY:
Topics of class 11 and 12 have nearly the same weightage where more number of questions can be asked from any of the two years. Refer NCERT first, and then follow a good reference book like P. Bahadur for MCQs.
Topics like chemical equilibrium, Thermodynamics and chemical kinetics, have been asked more frequently so work accordingly.
