To become an IAS you must get a graduation degree in any domain of your interest and choice. Once you have completed your graduation you should apply to CSE examination conducted by UPSC comprises of 3 rounds : premilinaries, mains and final interview. You can join the coaching for UPSC examination or you can study by your own. It is totally up to you but graduation degree is must.
for giving the upsc examination, you need to be a graduate in any discipline, before that, you can start reading different upsc materials which are available on the interenet and also you can start reading some of the important books just to make your base strong.
you also ahve option of joining an upsc coaching institute if you can.
you can also take subjects in graduation which you will be choosing in your civil services examination
