Career counselors obtain their master's degree in counseling or career services with coursework concentrations on career theories, career development, counseling theories, and the psychology of human development.

To become career counsellor you have to meet the following criteria:

1. Graduate Diploma in Organisation Behaviour & Development.
2. Certificate in Family Therapy.
3. Advanced Certificate in Psychotherapy & Counselling.
4. Diploma in Social Welfare Studies.
5. General Nursing training.

There is no as such entrance exam for becoming a career counsellor.
