What type of medical fitness do they check for MBBS application?
As long as a person is free from any disability, disease or condition (physical or mental) that can prevent him or her from exerting his or her duties as a physician he or she shall be acceptable in MBBS.
Basically you have to have the ability to work as a medical doctor (not necessarily a surgeon.)
You will have to obtain a ‘Medical Fitness Certificate’. Its not that hard to get. Just walk into any Govt. Hospital and submit a application for a Medical Fitness Certificate to the Superintendent or equivalent administrator of the hospital. They will check your weight, Blood group, and eye sight and ability to perform general work. If you have a disability, carry your disability certificate with you. Or you will have to apply for the same and get one.
