St. Joseph college provides a variety of B.A. programmes and combinations.
The eligibility criteria is : The candidate must have passed in 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised board.
There is an entrance exam in B.A. only for the course of Visual Communication and EJP i.e. English, Journalism and Psychology.
After applying for these respective courses you will have an entrance test which would require you to go to the college for the same. You will be given an admit card and also carry an original ID proof.
Entrance exam for B.A. Visual Communication will be 50 marks.
1. Objective/ Multiple Choice Questions (20 marks)
This consists of Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Media Awareness which includes the general understanding of media and the various positions etc. and Visual Sensitivity which includes a general judgement of artwork and reasoning.
2. Subjective Question (20 Marks)
You will be asked to write a comprehension on a given topic and the second task is to draw on a given topic (so that the evaluator can evaluate your visualisation skills)
3. Portfolio (10 marks)
You will have to submit your portfolio with your creative work, i.e., your drawings, paintings, sketches, photographs and design work.
For EJP, it will be similar to this except the portfolio. It will be for 75 marks. This test will comprise of MCQs, reading comprehension and general essay-type questions. Content of the paper would have current affairs, general knowledge and English language skills.
