To appear for CLAT, the eligibility criteria that a candidate needs to meet is as follows:-

• A candidate must have a minimum aggregate of 45% in their 10+2 from a recognized board.
• A candidate appearing for the examination before the results of their 10+2 are out need to provide the required documents at the time of admission.

First you need to qualify 10+2 or equivalent with at least 45% marks in aggregate if you are from general category. However, there is 5% relaxation in marks for SC and ST candidates. If you meet these criteria, you can appear for CLAT UG Examination.
If you are applying for CLAT PG, then you must hold a bachelor's degree in law or equivalent with at least 55% marks in the qualifying degree. 5% relaxation in marks for SC, ST category.

Then you need to go through the entire syllabus for examination and have to prepare yourself accordingly.
