Opinion is always divided as all sides cite various reasons supporting their preference. What does MBA and PGDM stand for? MBA is a degree course, while PGDM is a diploma course. Institutes affiliated to a university have the authority to grant MBA degree.
On the other hand PGDM courses are offered by private B-Schools that are not affiliated to any University. These institutes prepare their own syllabus, and they are no way dependent on the universities and enjoy full autonomy of their courses.

MBA is always recommended agaibst PGDM for one big advantage that MBA is acceptable for further studies into Mphil and Phd , whereas many colkeges dont accept PGDM for the same.
Overall in terms of Industry relevance and current trends, the curriculum is more updafed for PGDM than MBa.
Bthe Placements are generally equivalent as both candidates sit together for job opportunities.
PGDM is provided by the Institute itself and MBA is provided by the University.
Overall, MBA weighs more to PGDM consodering all parameters.
