Dear aspirant,
First of all 96 percentile is a great percentile for you and you can expect the top colleges like nit Calicut , allahabad, rourkela, Jamshedpur, durgapur, Silchar, jalandhar. But to predict your sc category rank it would be a difficult thing.
However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

Hello aspirant,
I hope that you are doing absolutely great.
With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that it is quite difficult to predict precisely your rank according to your percentile score as the cutoff varies every year and is different for different category students. The cutoff depends on several factors like : difficulty level of the paper, number of students appearing in exam, previous year trends etc.
However, looking at the previous year cutoff trends and according to the rank predictor tool, there is just the prediction that you can have a rank around : 40920 - 46000 with 96 percentile. ( It's still a prediction as Jee mains cutoff rank varies every year.)
Further, you can check the rank predictor tool to know your rank ;
Also, you can check the JEE mains College predictor tool to know more about your admission probabilities in other colleges :

I hope that this will help.
Hi
It's quite difficult to make prediction as marks vs percentile keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like
-
number of students that appeared in the exam,
-
kind of marks obtained by them ,
-
toughness level of the examination for different shifts of the exam etc.
but yes ,
For 96 percentile your sc rank would be roughly around 1100.
As per josaa round 6 , 2020 cut off, you have chances in NITs like
------------) National Institute of Technology Allahabad:- IT:-1311 sc rank
------------) National Institute of Technology Bhopal:- computer science:-1511 sc rank
------------) National Institute of Technology Raipur:- computer science:-2071 sc rank
