Hii There,
The CLAT cutoff is subject to annual changes due to various influencing factors. Here are the key determinants that will impact the CLAT 2024 cutoff:
Candidate NLU Preferences: Admission to NLUs is based on the preferences given by candidates. Those who haven't indicated a particular NLU as a preference won't be considered for admission, even if they meet the cutoff for that NLU.
Candidate Marks and Rank: Admission is granted based on a combination of merit and preference. Consequently, a candidate's marks and rank will play a pivotal role in determining their admission prospects.
NLU Seat Availability: NLUs collectively offer over 3,000 seats for 5-year LLB programs and approximately 1,100 seats for LLM programs.
NLU Reservation Policies: Most NLUs reserve about 25% of their seats for domicile category candidates, with some going as high as 50% of the total intake. The remaining seats are distributed among various categories. Therefore, the CLAT cutoff will also be influenced by the reservation policies of NLUs and the candidate's category.
I hope this answers your question.
Thanks
