hey,

yes according to central government there sure will be new common entrance exam in national level with two stages to get into admissions in IITS NITS and other government engineering colleges, many private colleges too can take admissions through it.

Exam pattern is first you need to clear jee mains after which you can apply for jee advanced which is for getting admission into IITS and IISC. both exams will have PCM and advance is itself conducted into two papers paper1 ad paper2. jee advanced will be conducted by one of IITs.

There will be a single engineering entrance that will replace all the other entrance tests including private, central or state held tests. The JEE Advanced will remain as the entrance test for the undergraduate engineering courses at the IITs and IISc Bangalore. Candidates will have to clear the national test and then the JEE Advanced to get into the IITs.

Exam pattern and syllabus is not declared till yet for single entrance exam.
