Hello,

The codes which are given by NTA are very difficult to understand.

Here I simplified the codes

Code 1 - 12th students giving their boards in 2019

Code 2 - 12th passed out students 2018 without gap in between 11th and 12th class

Code 3- 12th passed out students with gap in between 11 and 12th class

Code 4- dropper students ( more than 2 drops)

Code5-  first year students of BSC with physics chemistry and biology/biotechnology

Code6- BSC passed out students

Code 7 - for NRI students

According to this simple version of the codes you can identify  which code is for you

Hope it will helps you

As You have already completed Class XII and taken a drop year after that. Now the Code you will select depends on which Board you have passed your Class XII from.

If you completed your Class 12 from CBSE, ICSE or any State Board, then you should select Code 2.

But if you completed your Class 12 as a Pre-University Course (PUC) student/Pre-degree Course student/Junior College student , ie. your Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in science of an Indian University/Board, then you should fill Code 3. The PUC qualifying exam takes place in very few states like Karnataka. Hence the applicable code will most likely be 2 in your case.

Hey,

For any CBSE/ICSE boards passed out droppers students, should use CODE 02 as qualifying examination code while filling the application form.

Here, you can check the

official Qualifying Exam Code

released by CBSE.

Thank You!
