Using evidence-based practice (EBP) in optometry combined with PBL and CBL, this curriculum helps our students become better clinical decision makers. Students who get an M. Optom degree may pursue careers as optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, and professors of optics at eye hospitals, universities, sports vision clinics, and contact lens manufacturing enterprises, among other places. Students do study trips to tertiary eye hospitals to learn more about ocular examination practices.
