Respected sir,
Chemistry is easier to score than compared to Math and Physics in such competitive exams like JEE.
NCERT will do great job for Inorganic and Physical. Facts from NCERT is enough for Inorganic.
Organic chemistry questions arise from the very basic chapters like Hydrocarbons, GOC, Aldehydes & Ketones , Polymers & Biomolecules.
You should follow any other book(coaching material or Top DLP or OP Tondon book) for organic.
NCERT didn’t cover mechanism of various reactions. You have to use OP Tondon in this case.
Negative marks will cost you more than what positive marks can get you. Don’t Gamble in JEE Exam.
I’d done Chemistry section in 33 minutes(Strategy was for 30 minutes though) and advised you the same to do. Chemistry, being easy section gives you extra time to spend on Physics and Mathematics.
Almost 90% questions come directly from NCERT. So, take advantage.
Best way to study Chemistry is to discuss it with your peers.
I believe that a detailed study of NCERT and solving its problems would fetch you around 100 marks.
Usually conceptual questions are more than application type questions.
Practicing MCQ as much possible and solving problems using tricks can save too much time in exam hall.
And more than just knowing a concept, it's extremely important that how hard you practice.
Thank You.
Hi Amrit
In JEE MAINS chemistry plays a vital role. It is among those section where student's can easily score marks.
In Chemistry , Inorganic is the major section which comprises of 13-14 questions. In inorganic CBSC mostly like to prefer more question from Lewis Acid and Base in among all the consecutive years concern.
As students point of view it is an easy topic but it comprises of more concepts.
