What will happen if a student, having a 6th subject,fails in one of the main subjects in CBSE 12th boards?

Accordingly to CBSE rule, student has to pass in English plus 4 subjects to be considered pass so as long as student passes in English and passes PCB with 50% aggregate along with one more subject then, failing in sixth subject does not matter as CBSE will take top five subject marks t hat means you have passed 12 and can appear for NEET.
