hi,
see 11th and 12th class is one of the vital period of a students life, based on 12th score your future career will be decided, since there is a huge difference between 10th and 12th students results varying lot, there is many students who get highly great score in 10th but can not bring 60 percentage marks in 12th. so if you fail any subject there will be guardian calling, school may not allow to promote you to class 12, now some of the school take re test, if you qualify in retest you may got promoted in 12.
If if you get fail in your 11th standard science stream exam then you will have to give the supplementary exam of of the specific subject in which you have filled and then you will pass then after you will appear for class 12th but you have to give the supplementary exam after failing, you have to study the failed subject once again for passing the supplementary examination and for clearing class 11th and going to class 12th.
First of all understand that it's okay to fail. So just in case, if you have any negative thoughts about it please brush them apart. There can be several reasons behind failing and its great to see you here seeking answers for your problem.
The best way to move ahead, really, is to pass 11th and go into 12th. I know this might not sound good to you but trust me, academic examinations have a reason behind them and are best suited to judge a person for the next level of studies.
One another way out is to downgrade your stream. Many schools allow students to switch from science to commerce or arts. If that's possible and suits you, ask up with your school authorities.
One last way out is that you can appear for your class 12 examinations via the National Institute of Open Schooling. Any student who has passed in class 10 from any board can appear for examinations held by NIOS for class 12 provided two years have passed between classes 10 and 12. NIOS is similar to CBSE and falls under Ministry of Human Resource and Development making it completely eligible everywhere. The studies are done via the correspondence method with books being delivered to you via post and examinations being held in March.
