Considering the sun and moon's current location, they are separated by 91 million miles of space.So no, they cannot collide here.

But when the sun will undergo its final stages of life and become a red giant in about 6 billion years from now,it would swallow every planet including earth.

So you can guess what happened to the moon. It will be swallowed  by the sun.
