Hi you have plenty of time, and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, i will tell you how to prepare for both NEET As well as AIIMS,
Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too
Biology-aiims doesnt cover most part from ncert like how neet does, in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can
General knowledge and current affairs(AIIMS ONLY)- read newspapers regularly, keep yourself updated always, use year books, they ll help you alot.
1) Join a reputable coaching institute - They provide students with well-structured material and exclusive guidance. They solve any doubts/problems you have and clear any concepts you might have trouble with. They give advice on how to improve on your weaker areas.
2) Self-study - While coaching is extremely valuable, self-study is the key to success. Create a study timetable that suits your habits. It is imperative that you first sit and study the material thoroughly, to have a good knowledge base and understand concepts. Try to solve as many questions as possible after studying a certain topic. It's easier to complete the more time-consuming or important topics first, and then leave the easier or less important topics for later. Don't leave any topics.
3) Regular revision - Set time aside to revise whatever you have studied. Learning without revision is futile. Revision reinforces your understanding, sharpens memory and clears concepts thus making it easier to get more questions right.
4) Mock exams - Practice tests and mock exams give an idea of where you stand in terms of your preparation, what your strengths and weaknesses are. It also betters your speed and hones time management skills. Repeatedly doing mock exams will accustom you to the rigor and pressure of the actual exam, thereby increasing your confidence and ease in the real exam. Also solve plenty of past NEET papers, this is very important!
5) Use the right study materials - Do not buy too many books or use too many resources, use the ones that you find the easiest to understand and only the standard textbooks (especially the NCERT textbooks). Prepare your own notes well in advance because as the exam comes closer, you should be doing more practice questions than making new notes.
6) Take time off - It is important to balance your studying with breaks so that you do not burn out. Indulge in a hobby to keep you relaxed and refreshed to start another study session. Know your distractions and avoid them at all costs. They will waste time, which is scarce at this point. Get adequate sleep every night. Don't sleep during your study time and don't study during your sleep time.
7) Passion, not pressure - Be passionate and motivated towards your studies. Do not get overwhelmed, stay focused on your dream and align your schedule to meet your goal. Never be overconfident, neither should you feel unmotivated or under too much pressure to function. Eat well, sleep well and study well. Most importantly, never forget your dream even in the most difficult moments!
Hope this helps!
Good Luck!

There is no such single best way ! NEET Preparation is a long process and also a individualized one. The books and routine one follows, might not fit the other. However one must keep an achievable target like for an avg student target should be to get a govt medical college, whereas for someone good the target should be to get a good rank ! Plan your stragey and routine !
Hello Balram,
The first step to an effective preparation is to Believe in Yourself. Tell yourself you Can do this, despite all odds. Next is, persevernce and consistency. Take some time out and prepare a study planner. I know many a times it is difficult to adhere to time table but nevertheless, if you continue to go back to it, it will eventually become a habit. Identify your weak subject and work on it. Preferably spend time on the weaker subject daily along with some time spared for the easier subject. Focus on understanding the concept rather than just mugging it all up. After you have completed a section or a chapter. Practice Objective questions on the same. This will help in orientation of the actual examination pattern. For this, you may want to invest in some good objective questions banks for each subject with solved questions. Everytime you get an answer wrong, instead of beating yourself up, go back and re-read the concept again. Try to complete your portion 3 months before your examination so that you have time to prepare for board exams as well as revise for your entrances. While studying, make sure you take regular five minutes break so that you don't burn out during your study sessions. When you are Studying, make sure you are focused and make use of your study time effectively, even if it is for an hour. One important factor is sleep. Sleep well because all your information is consolidated during this time. Eat healthy and take care of yourself. Lastly, as I earlier mentioned, constantly remind yourself that you do this. There will be times when you may under perform but don't let that affect you. Continue to work hard and work smart. All the very best for your preparations I hope you find this helpful!
