It should be imposed,Yes this is the best thing ever I wanted to get, I as a non maths commerce student posses my dream college as SRCC , but totally loosen all my hopes after been know that non maths students are not valid to this course loosing all my hopes , this test is really very very very excellent step as it will give a common platform and equal opportunity to every student without any bias. I dreamed ever time that god there should be an entrance exam for admission in at least bcom h , now hopping this to be true I’m very glad , if possible please impose this test. This test is not been imposed till now , du’s delay for this imposition is very bad it should be amended as soon as possible as now it’s going on biased basis. As not all student know that maths is mandatory for admission in bcom honours and when this come to there knowledge it’s too late to port or change or even apply for mathematics in 12 boards as the students are not prepared,even if a student is good in maths but then also he is not getting admission because he has not opted for the same in the board exams.

Thanks for putting up the query. There were speculations of DU taking admissions into the B.Com (Hons.) programme via entrance exams. This didn't materialise last year. This year too the rumours are doing the rounds but DU hasn't released any official notification in this regard. Thus, this year too, admission to the B.Com (Hons.) programme would be based on merit.

There is nothing declared by the officials about the entrance test for B.Com (H) course so as of now the current information is that the admissions will be done on the basis of 12th merit only. Also, I would suggest you to keep visiting the official website to know all latest updates for the same.
