What you will suggest me if i want to get bachelor in social sciences,,,Ambedkar University Delhi (Kashmere Gate) or DU colleges ?
Hello Aspirant
These are very good universities that you have chosen.
The forms for Ambedkar University are open or will open soon. Ambedkar University provides bachelors in many subjects.
Delhi University, on the other hand, has a lot of colleges under it. It is recommended to look for the top 10-15 colleges, but the cut-off percentage of these colleges is usually very high. There are many arts colleges in Delhi university, namely Stephens, KMC, JMC nad more.
The forms for Delhi University will open around June and the admissions will continue till August.
Best of Luck!
Ambedkar University is equally good when it comes to studies, infrastructure, facilities provided to its students. The difference between two Universities is just that the cut-offs of Ambedkar Universities is less than as compared to Delhi University cut-offs. Also admissions in Ambedkar University starts later as compared to admissions to Delhi University.
Ambedkar university has better classrooms and a very superior faculty. The teacher pupil ratio is very favorable, therefore teachers connect more to the students. The format for testing the learning of the students is not traditional examination, but quite innovative & many layered techniques. So it is lovely to take part in those tests. Curriculum is very good and lively in most of the disciplines.
Location is not all that good, but once you enter inside ot is good.
I will try to list some parameters on which you can make a choice.
Recognition-
Delhi University is a central university that has colleges established even prior to independence. It is an open campus established across different regions of the NCR.
Ambedkar University has been established in 2008 by the State Government of Delhi. Despite this, it has made a significant name for itself. It is located at Kashmere gate and Karampura currently and is having various other campuses under construction.
Administration -
Delhi university by nature has multiple divisions in administration, every college having its own administrative division.
Ambedkar University has specific administration for each school. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to provide help to students.
Fees-
Both Universities being government are having nominal fees. They also offer fee waivers.
Hope this has brought some clarity.
All the best.
