Candidates who have attained 21 years and have not attained 32 years are eligible to apply for UPSC IAS. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1986 and not later than 1st August, 1997.

UPSC Exam Details : Age Limit
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on August 1 of the year of examination. For OBC the upper age limit is 35, and for SCand STthe limit is 37 years.
Numbers of attempts for UPSC Exam
General category candidates: 4
OBC category candidates = 7
SC/ST Candidates = unlimited

Well the candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of32 years(for the General category candidate) on August 1 of the year of examination. Prescribed age limits vary with respect to caste reservations. For Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), the limit is37years.
