New: Direct link to check DU PG second merit list 2024
Latest: DU Admission Process
Hello,
Aspirants are offered admission as per two criteria under sports quota at Delhi University colleges. The two criteria under which DU admissions are offered in Sports Quota are:
a) super category: admission without sport trial
Students who have represented India at international sports events which are recognised and funded by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) will be given Direct Admission at DU colleges and such students would not have to undergo Sports Trial. However, a point to note here is that applicants would only be offered admission at those DU colleges which have put in a requirement for the Game/Sport that the candidate has taken part in. The events which enable aspirants to be relieved from taking part in DU sports trials are:
b) admission through sports trial
Candidates would be allotted maximum 40 marks for Merit/Participation Sports Certificate.
Hope this helped
Hi Mini,
To get admission in DU through Sports quota you should have represented the district, state or country in any of the DU's prescribed ECA( Extracurricular Activities ) or sports. You should normally apply for the entrance exam and give the exam. The candidates who are apply through sports quota can expect upto 15% of relaxation on the admission merit list.
At the time of form filling you should select ECA quota and upload the ECA certificate (should not be older than 3 year).
Hope this will help, please feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Thank You.
