SAT is an exam that is conducted by The College Board to evaluate a candidate's acadmic knowledge in reading, writing, quantitative aptitude and other prescribe specialised subjects. SAT is opted by students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies in USA and some other countries. SAT syllabus is generally made keepng in mind the subjects and topics that are taught in high school.
SAT is of two types- SAT Reasoning Test which includes Evidence - based reading test,Language and Writing test, Math test and SAT Essay(optional). While the SAT Subject Test include Science, History, Language, English and Mathematics. The SAT Reasoning Test is conducted internationally 4 times a year while the SAT Subject Test is conducted internationally 5 times a year.
The College Board has not set any eligibility criteria. Indian students generally give the test in their 11th and 12th standards and are typically around 18 years of age.
