MAT 2020 will be held from 27 august - 2 september 2020.

The format of questions is multiple choice questions.

The number of questions is 200.

There are 5 sections -

Language comprehension

Intelligence and critical reasoning

Data analysis and sufficiency

Mathematical skills

Indian and global environment

dear aspirant,

AIMA will be performed as a remotely controlled Internet-based study. Applicants who expected to take part in the September MAT exam were recommended to register for the MAT 2020 syllabus. The entire Indian Management Association (AIMA) does not formally adhere to the MAT syllabus. Based on past years of question papers, candidates should review the MAT 2020 syllabus to get an idea of the sort of questions that have been posed. Understanding the MAT (Management Aptitude Test) 2020 curriculum in advance, the applicants were also able to draw up a detailed roadmap for their training.


MAT 2020 Syllabus

The complete MAT syllabus included questions from mathematics, English language which mainly includes comprehension, intelligence and critical reasoning, data analysis and sufficiency, Indian and global environment.

MAT Syllabus 2020 - English Language (Comprehension)

The sub-topics which form part of MAT syllabus for the English language are:

  • Fill in the blanks

  • Synonyms and Antonyms

  • Idioms

  • Jumbled words and sentences

  • Odd word out

  • Sentence correction

  • Para jumbles

    MAT 2020 Syllabus - Mathematics

    In the mathematics section of MAT 2020 , candidates have to answer questions from arithmetic, geometry, trigonometry, probability, number system, cubes mensuration etc.

    The sub-topics in arithmetic are:

    • Profit and loss

    • Partnerships

    • Percentages

    • Ratio

    • Time-speed and distance

    • Time and work

    • Averages

    • Profit and loss

  • MAT Syllabus - Intelligence and Critical Reasoning

    In the critical reasoning and intelligence section, candidates have to rationally analyze the questions and then answer them. The topics which were covered in intelligence and critical reasoning are:

    • Analogy

    • Statement-Conclusion

    • Assertion Reason

    • Series

    • Family Tree/Relation

    • Coding and Decoding

    • Directions

    • Analytical Reasoning

    • Cause and Effect

  • Syllabus of MAT 2020 - Data Analysis and Sufficiency

    Data analysis and sufficiency comprised questions that were based on the information that was provided in the questions. Candidates have to analyse that information and draw the inference. The topics included in data analysis and sufficiency are:

    • Caselet

    • Bar graph

    • Pie Chart

    • Line graph

    • Mixed charts and graphs

    • Data Sufficiency

    • Data Comparison

    • Table

  • MAT Syllabus - Indian and Global Environment

    Candidates have to answer questions based on General Knowledge domestic and international current affairs. As part of the syllabus of MAT 2020, the topics that will be covered are:

    • Business Awareness

    • Entertainment

    • Politics

    • Sports

    • Social Issues
