Hi Ashwin,
Aeronautical Engineering is one of the most popular fields for the students who wish to make their career in aircraft, airplanes, jet planes and space shuttles. Aeronautics is the art or science of the manufacturing, design, and study of air flight capable machines.
Aeronautical engineers use their technical knowledge in designing, constructing, maintaining and testing the aircraft and related systems.
The field, Aeronautical engineering is the best career oriented field. It is one of the challenging fields of engineering. The aeronautical engineering deals with the technology and development in aviation, defense and exploration system. Therefore yes, it is useful for the future.
Govt organisation's like ISRO, NAL,ADA,DRDL will hire only if you clear GATE exam and thier vacancies are about only 5–10 seats per year for aero in particular and some years they don't hire too.
Course & Duration
Aeronautical engineering is an emerging field of engineering study. The basic requirements for the course, that the students’ must have a good command over the mathematics, physics and chemistry. The students’ have a choice to choose the field after 10+2 science stream with good percentage.
There are three types of courses in India of aeronautical engineering.
Mr.Ashwin
Good to hear that you are interest in which is related to air because there are very few people who thing out of the box. Mostly every student go in this filed like Finance,doctrine engineering etc., And i saluted to your thiking and i will prefer you to go in this filed it hava a bright future because this engineer's work for the government also. And the starting pay will be more than any other field and it will increments in future by looking your hard work, deliction etc., So i suggest you to go in this filed and do hard work definitely you see your future bright in present only.
Dear Ashwin,
Aeronautical engineering have good scope in future. Job opportunities for these engineers are available in Airlines, Air Force, Corporate Research Companies, Defence Ministry, Helicopter Companies, Aviation Companies, NASA and many others. Increasing popularity of air travel and space exploration require expertise to design and maintain improvements. Looking at heightening growth rate, the demand for smart and create Aerospace Engineers is only going to increase in the near future. Some of the top recruiters in this space are Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Defense Research and Development Laboratories (DRDO), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Civil Aviation Department, Air India, India Space Research Organization (ISRO) and others. The average salary of an Aerospace Engineer is INR 35, 000 to INR 40,000 per month. The maximum salary offered to an Aerospace Engineer graduated from IITs is INR 15 lakhs per annum.
Good luck!!
@Ashwin-
