Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) is an entrance exam which must be given by foreign students who wanted to pursue their under graduation in Universities of US and Canada. This tests the written, verbal and mathematical skills of the candidates. SAT score is valid in the universities of US, Canada and Australia.
SAT exam is of two types:
- SAT exam which tests the knowledge of reading, writing and maths. Duration of the exam is 3hr 45 min.
- SAT Subject exam which tests the subject knowledge of the candidate. (Any applicant who wants to pursue Under graduation in the subject of their choice they can write this exam). Its duration is one hour.
SAT eligibility:
Applicants who completed their 10+2 or who are in their class 12.
SAT 2019 exam pattern:
- Math - 80 minutes - calculator allowed for few questions - 57 questions - syllabus: problem-solving, data analysis and alzebra - score range: 200-800
- Reading - 65 minutes - 52 questions - passages from US and World literature
- Writing - 35 minutes - 44 questions - Expression of ideas and standard english conversations - (combined score for reading and writing sections 200-800)
- Essay (optional) - 50 minutes - no score given
- Total - 154 questions - 1600 marks
SAT exam dates 2019:
Usually SAT exam is conducted in between October and June months.

- June 1, 2019
SAT Subject Test dates:
- May 4, 2019
- june 1, 2019
SAT exam fee:
Approximately $52.5 + $42 (Non US regional fee)
$26 as the basic subject fee
SAT score above 1200 is considered as a good score and give you maximum chances to fetch an admission in University of Dallas, Florida State University, University of California, Purude University, etc
