when I can start preparation for upsc exam being a class 11 student in science stream in bengali medium?
Hello!
Preparation for UPSC exam has nothing to do with which class you study in, it depends on your dedication towards it. Yes, you can start preparing for UPSC exam as it is the most difficult competitive exam of India. And saying that it is easy is totally not true. The first thing you need to do is know what is the pattern of examination and according to that you start your preparation. Apart from understanding the exam pattern you should always keep yourself updated to the current affairs which cannot be studied with any book. Your stream or medium matters the least so that's not even a topic of concern. You just need to complete graduation to take UPSC exam. And the more time you get the more better you can study. If you want to you may start preparing for it now as well. Don't take any coaching or stuff, try to enhance your general knowledge and be upto date with current affairs. Observe the pattern and previous year papers, it is a very important part if you want to crack UPSC. From previous year papers you'll get an idea of the type of questions asked and the pattern to which you can start your preparation. I wish luck to you. I hope this is helpful. All the best!
You can start preparing for UPSC in 2nd or 3rd year of college because for eligibility, the candidate should have passed bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised institute. And 2-3 years of good practice and hardwork will be enough to clear the exam.
You can keep reading history and keep yourself updated by watching news, reading newspaper, etc from now itself so that it will make it easy for you to clear the examination.
The best newspaper for UPSC is The Hindu.
For preparation, NCERT books of standard 6th to 12th are recommended for history, civics, etc.
