When I Fill Jee Mains 2021 Form, I Uploaded My SC State Caste Cirtificate So It Is Valid In Jee Mains Exam ? Neither When 19 to 21 January Form Correction Date , I Will Change My Sc State Caste Cirtificate And Upload My Central Sc Caste Cirtificate ?

Hello Aspirant,

It does not matter whether you upload your caste certificate of state or center but it needs to be be valid and authorized by District level officer but if you  still wants to change your state caste certificate to central caste certificate then you can change that during correction period which is January 19th to January 21st 2021 for February '21 attempt.

Note that the photographs or images which you will be uploading for JEE-Main 2021 should be as same as the criteria set by NTA which are enlisted below as per the official information brochure released by NTA :-

> The recent photograph should be either in colour or black/white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.

> File size for candidate’s photograph should be in the range of 10 kb - 200 kb. File size for candidate’s signature should be in the range of 4kb - 30kb.

> File size for duly verified result awaited attestation form should be in the range of 50kb - 500kb.

> File size for category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc.) should be in the range of 50kb to 300KB.

> File size for PwD certificate should be in the range of 50kb - 300kb in jpg/jpeg format.

Some insights of JEE-Main 2021 :-

> To qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate percentage criteria but yes if you want to take admission into NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should score a minimum aggregate of 75% in your class 12th if you belongs to General/Unreserved category and 65% if you belongs to any of the reserved category.

> Also from this year according to New Education Policy the JEE-Main examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and other regional languages such as Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Odia and Malayalam.

> In JEE-Main 2021 there will be total 90 question out of which you have to attempt only 75 (25 from each section) and there will be two sections for each subject, Section-A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)(20 compulsory questions) and Section-B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value (10 numerical based questions out of which only 5 are compulsory to be attempted).

> In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be no negative marking for Section B.

> All question will be of 4 marks and in MCQs there will be negative marking of (-1) on incorrect attempt.

Bhavya Chavda Hello Bhavya, actually I forgot to add one point that your SC caste certificate should be of same format as given on the official website of JOSAA (https://josaa.nic.in/webinfo/File/GetFile?FileId=12&LangId=P) whether it is central or state does not matter.

Bhavya Chavda either for JEE-Advance or for JEE-Main the caste certificate should be of same format as available on the official website of JOSAA (https://josaa.nic.in/webinfo/File/GetFile?FileId=12&LangId=P).
