Hello Student,

If your college has become autonomous, it still depends on the university or the regulations set by the accrediting bodies whether the college can change the degree designation from BE (Bachelor of Engineering) to BTech (Bachelor of Technology).

Autonomy allows the institution more freedom to design its curriculum, examinations, and other academic matters, but the degree title is often governed by the affiliating university or the regulatory body (such as AICTE in India). If the university or regulatory body approves this change, then the college may be able to issue BTech degrees instead of BE.

You should check with your college administration for official confirmation and any steps required for this transition.

Thankyou.

An autonomous college is free to start a new degree or postgraduate course with the approval of the Academic Council of the college and now its day to day activities and curriculum is not obligated by the government.it is nothing to do with your course all courses and degrees are same as previous year but there can be changes in fees structure due to its autonomous.
