- MCAT has some pre-medical prerequisite courses such as organic I ,II and biochemistry at a graduate level and some bio courses . No one can appear directly after XIIth .
The elligibility criteria are as follows:-
- The candidate has to obtain special permission to register for the exam if he/she is not applying to a health professions school, or currently, enrolled as a medical student other than MBBS.
- As per the MCAT eligibility criteria 2017, if an aspirant holds an MBBS degree currently pursuing an MBBS programme he/she might register for the MCAT 2017 without seeking special permission.
International students have to complete at least a four years undergraduate degree for admission to medical colleges in the US.
In order to apply for special permission, candidates can send an e-mail request to AAMC, stating the reasons to take the exam.
Email address to seek special permission:mcat@aamc.org

All the very best for your Preparations!
MCAT is for admission to MBBS colleges in the US and Canada. If you finish MBBS in India, you rather give the USMLE exam. If you give MCAT, you repeat your MBBS study again which is longer.
Do i have to first clear NEET and complete Indian medical school and then give MCAT or somwthing else? I also want to wnroll into an American medical school.
