When is the admission for bsc physician assistant course

B.Sc. Physician Assistant is a 3 and a half years undergraduate medical course. Physician assistants work in all areas of medicine, including primary care and family medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, and psychiatry with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare workers. This course can be pursued in both regular and distance mode.
After completion of this course, one can work as Medical Assistant, Drug Safety Associate, Teacher, Assistant Physician Cardiology, Clinical Associate, Personal Health Facilitator etc.
Some of the institutes offering this course are -
• A.D.N Institute of Paramedical Science and Hospitals, Nagpur
• BN Patel Institute of Paramedical and Science, Gujrat
• Martin Luther Christian University- MLCU, Shillong
• Frontier Lifeline Hospital, Chennai
Very few universities offer this course. Therefore, the admission procedure varies from college to college.
Eligibility criteria-
• 10+2 Science stream or equivalent with minimum percentage mentioned by the college, generally between 50-60% (for Martin Luther Christian University, no minimum percentage mentioned and for MMM College of Health Science, the minimum percentage should be 60% marks in PCBE)
Admission Process-
For most colleges, admission is done on the basis of entrance exams conducted by universities but some have direct admissions also.
• Martin Luther Christian University has direct admission.
• In Frontier Lifeline Hospital, admission is done strictly based on merit.
• MMM College of Health Science has an entrance exam.
Admission dates-
Since most of the colleges that provide this course are private, there is no common admission date. You need to visit the official website of the particular college in which you are interested. For some colleges, details are provided-
• In Martin Luther Christian University, admissions will start in the month of April or May.
• For Frontier Lifeline Hospital and MMM College of Health Science, dates are not yet provided.
