Hello there!

Greetings!

A development is called indirect development , when an animal's birth form is very different from the adult form. The embryo hatches from the egg in a larval form.

It occurs in most of the invertebrates and amphibians.

The larva undergoes a drastic metamorphosis in order to achieve its adult stage.
