Hi dear,
Hope you are doing well!
Now let's go through your question.
As you will be knowing that the state counselling authorities will release their own NEET state wise rank list comprising details of the candidates who have applied for admissions to medical and dental colleges located in that particular state.
The counselling for NEET at state level will be conducted by the various state counselling authorities on the basis of the NEET state wise rank lists. Admissions to both Government and Private colleges will be done only on the basis of the state-wise rank lists of NEET and only eligible candidates will qualify for the same.
Some important points:
- Some states will first release a list of all NEET candidates who have completed their Class 12 from the state in the form of an appeared candidates’ list. This will be created on the basis of information provided to the authorities by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the MCC. The appeared candidates’ list will be published for reference purposes only and should not be confused with the state wise NEET rank list.
- After all the interested candidates have registered and submitted their application form for state-level NEET admissions within the specified dates, a provisional NEET state wise rank/merit list of all the candidates found eligible among these will be released.
- The candidates whose names appear in the provisional state-wise rank list of NEET will be required to appear for a document verification process, usually conducted in offline mode at a venue specified by the concerned state counselling authority.
- Following the document verification of all candidates who report within the given timeline, a final NEET state wise rank list will be published on the basis of which the counselling for state quota seats in the Government medical and dental colleges and for all seats in the state’s private medical and dental colleges will be conducted.
- Some states like Tamil Nadu will release separate state rank lists of NEET for Government college seats and for Private college seats on the basis of which the respective admissions will be carried out.
- In some cases, separate state wise rank lists may also be released before each counselling round is held in a particular state.
- Institutions like AFMC Pune for which the counselling is conducted separately and not under any state counselling authorities will release NEET college wise rank lists. Central Universities like Delhi University (DU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and Banaras Hindu University (BHU) may also have separate rank lists released by the MCC which will be responsible for conducting their admissions in NEET.
