Azim Premji University opened its doors in 2010. APU Bangalore is another name for the university. The Azim Premji University Act of 2010 established the university as a non-profit institution in Karnataka. The University Grants Commission (UGC) recognises Azim Premji University under Section 2F. APU Bangalore provides students with courses at two levels: undergraduate and postgraduate.
