The scheme is formed by merging the Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP) and Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Yojana (PMRY). KVIC is the nodal agency at the National level. The objective of this scheme is to generate continuous and sustainable employment opportunities in Rural and Urban areas of the country.
