When you will be appearing for class 12th exams or after passing class 12th exam you will be appearing for JEE-Main if you are seeking admission in engineering courses. According to the eligibility criteria of JEE-Main 2021 any candidate passing/appearing for class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, can appear for JEE-Main 2021.
As per the maximum number of attempts if you are appearing for class 12th examinations in 2021 then you will b eligible for JEE-Main 2021, 2022 and 2023 and further if you qualify JEE-Main 2021 then you will eligible to appear for JEE-Advance 2021 and for JEE-Advance you have maximum allowed attempts are 2 that will be 2021 and 2022.

You can give jee main examination either after passing 12th or in the year of appearing for 12th board examination means that time you are only class 11th passed.
For example,
As per your profile , you are in class 11 right now in 2021 , you will get in class 12 in 2022 and will be appearing for 12th board examination somewhere in March 2023 . So, you will be eligible for jee main 2023. And also for jee main 2024 and 2025.

Jee main eligibility criteria is given below-
-) Qualification required :- to be eligible for JEE mains for BE or Btech you need 10+2/equivalent qualification with Physics, mathematics as compulsory subject along with anyone of Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational Subject.
-) Passing year :- one is eligible for JEE main examination for consecutive three years starting from the year of appearing for 12th /equivalent examination i. e to be eligible for JEE mains 2021 you should be either appearing for 12th board exam or equivalent in 2021 or should have passed it in 2020 or 2019
-) There is no age limit to be eligible
-) there is no minimum percentage requirement to be eligible for JEE Main.
But yes,
To be eligible for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category or at least 65% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category. For this year i. e 2021 this minimum percentage requirement of 75% - 65 % has been lifted off.

Hello Candidate,
For any candidate who is willing to give his JEE mains examination the eligibility criteria is that he must have passed his class 12 examinations with subjects such as physics chemistry and mathematics as one of the main subjects.
Moreover, a candidate can only go for two more consecutive years apart from the present year of class 12th in order to appear for the JEE Mains examination, and only one more consecutive year for JEE advanced examination.
