Jee main counselling i. e josa counselling will be conducted when both the JEE main sessions are completed and its result are out and also jee advanced gets conducted and its results are out . In simple words, josaa counselling will start only after JEE advanced results.

This is because,

Josaa counselling   is combined counselling for IITs through jee advanced rank and NITs, IIITs& GFTIs through jee main rank.

For Josaa counselling, you will have to go through following steps to participate once it gets started.

-----------------------------) Registration :- First of all you will have to visit the josaa official website i. e josaa.nic.in and then register with the help of your roll number and password .

------------------------------) Choice filling:-You will have to fill the colleges and courses in order of your preferences

------------------------------) Choice locking:-Then you need to lock the colleges you selected

------------------------------) Mock seat allotment:- To help you understand the colleges in which you have chances ,mock seat allotment is conducted before final choice filling and locking

------------------------------) Seat allotment result:- then on the basis of your rank seat allotment takes place.

------------------------------) seat acceptance fees payment :- If you get a seat then you have to download seat allotment letter and then you have to pay seat acceptance fees

------------------------------) Reporting the report centre :- You have to report to the reporting centre to get your documents verified. You need to carry your original documents along with 2 copies of xerox of each.

------------------------------) admission confirmation :- Finally you have to report to the alloted college  by at least the time of last date of reporting for the college mentioned on seat allotment letter for admission confirmation.

JEE Main counseling will be held only after finishing all the sessions. It won't be held after each session. NTA has released the JEE application form 2022 for the phase 1 exam. Candidates can access the JEE Main application form 2022 from the NTA JEE Mains website at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2022. NTA JEE Mains 2022 exam dates are Session 1 April 21, 24, 25, 29, and May 1, 4, 2022, and Session 2 May 24 to 29, 2022. Keep an eye on the official website or the link below for the latest information. JEE Main 2022 registration fee is different for Male and Female candidates. Candidates have to pay Rs 650 and Rs 350 to complete registration.
