The 5th round of MBBS admissions occurs as part of the counselling process under the NEET UG ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) system . The dates for each round vary based on the counselling authority ( like MCC for all-India quota seats or state-specific counselling authorities ) .

MCC ( Medical Counselling Committee ) : for all-India quota counselling .

State counselling authorities for state quotas .

Usually , the 5th round might occur in the latter part of the year ( around December) but you should check for updates specific to your state or institution .

The NEET 2024 counselling process is expected to have four to six rounds if there is any sear vacant and the number of rounds may increase depending on the number of vacant seats. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) may extend the rounds based on vacant seats.you need to wait till the further announcement of MCC.

The entire counselling process for NEET 2024 concluded on November 5, 2024.Round 1 is started from August 14 to August 31, 2024 and Round 3 is conducted from October 2 to October 19, 2024.there is a gap of 10 to 15 days for each round counselling.so if round 4 ended on 5 November hence 5th round may be conducted from 15 November onwards.
