CLAT 2023 is supposed to be held on December 23, 2022 . It is the first time CLAT has had two examinations in the same year. Every year, students write CLAT around May-June, and results are announced in a month or so, i.e., by the end of June or July. Following this, the batch of that year goes through the counseling session immediately after the results are announced. The respective university calls in the students by the end of July, and the new semester usually begins by August (for most of the NLUs).
CLAT 2023 is no exception, barring the exam is to be conducted in December from the usual May-June period. CLAT 2023 will follow the same pattern, and the answer key, followed by the result, will be announced in a month. The students will be called in for counseling sessions in January. However, there is no clarity on when the new semester will begin; it is safe to assume that the same will commence in August.
