TANCET also called as Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is conducted by Anna University for admission of Post graduation programmes like M.Tech , MBA, MCA , M.Arch in various colleges or Institutions across Tamil Nadu. In order to get admission through TANCET , a candidate must appear for written test which is offline based test conducted at various cennters across Tamil Nadu.

There havent been any applications opened for TANCET as of now. It was given that the applications would open in first week of April , which is this week. But as of now , they haven't released any online application forms as of now. But they should release it by this week.

According to tentative dates,

• 1st week of april - start of online registration
• 4th week of april - registration closes
• 1st week of may - release of admit cards
• 19th May - M.C.A and M.B.A TANCET exam
• 20th may - M.Tech and M.Arch TANCET exam

These are the tentative dates . You need to go to annauniv.edu in order to register and fill online application form. currently they have not yet released the application forms.

If you have already taken up GATE exam then it is not necessary to apply for TANCET. You can directly apply using GATE scores.

You need to have certain eligibility criteria in order to apply , which is decided by anna university -

• you should have Masters degree in relevant branch of science as prescribed, or
• You need to have B.E /B.Tech/ B.Arch , or
• candidate with 10+3 years of diploma and associate member of Institution of engineers (aime) can apply for M.Tech or M.arch

In order to register, You need to keep regular updates with Anna University . Once the application form is released, You will get the link at the left side in the anna University website . When you click there , youll be redirected to the registration page where by filling necessary details you will be able to complete the form filling. After succesful completion you need to pay fee, which is 500 for general and OBC, where as 250 for SC and ST irrespective of gender. This completes the registration.

You can check their main website for regular updates on TANCET. As of now , they havent released the applications. MAy be within this week they would release. So keep up with their regular updates.

TANCET 2019 is scheduled for May 19 and 20. The exam is in pen and paper mode. The mode of application is online. The availability of the form is expected to available on April 2,2019.
